We hope to see you at the
2020 Winter Meeting of the ASCH

January 3-6, 2020  |  New York, NY

The American Society of Church History is pleased to announce the details of its 2020 Winter Meeting, which will take place from January 3-6, 2020 at the Parker Hotel New York. All of the ASCH conference sessions, along with the Presidential Reception, the Prize Awards Luncheon, and the annual Business Meeting, will be held in the hotel.

The theme of ASCH 2020 is "Whose América: New Perspectives, Contours, and Connections in Church Histories"

See the ASCH 2020 Program. (This program is subject to revisions, but is the most up-to-date draft.)

ASCH 2020 features several special events, some of which you must sign up for at registration. These events include the Women's Breakfast, Connections Coffee meetups with between early career and senior scholars, a guided tour of religious sites in Midtown Manhattan, and the 2020 Prize Awards Luncheon.

At the Prize Awards Luncheon, which will be held on Saturday at the hotel, we will present our annual prizes to some very deserving books and authors. The luncheon (good food, not too expensive) will be a great celebration, with breathtaking views of Central Park, as well as a time for some public conversation about the future of the ASCH. Please plan to attend!

How To Register for the Annual Meeting

Registration for the 2020 Winter Meeting will open Oct. 1, 2019.

NOTE: For those who plan only to attend ASCH sessions, it is NOT necessary to register for the AHA conference. You ONLY need to register for the ASCH conference to attend ASCH sessions.

For ASCH Members
First, login to the ASCH Member Portal. In order to register at member rates, you must be logged in via the ASCH member portal––our secure area of the website from which you can access and update your membership information, renew your membership, register for conferences, and more––AND have a current 2019 or 2020 membership.

If you are logging in to the new ASCH member portal for the first time, you will need to create a new password for your account, using the email address we currently have on file for you. This is the email address at which you currently receive email from the ASCH. While we have worked hard to fully test this process so that it is smooth and stable, if you encounter any glitches at all, please email asch@churchistory.org, and one of our staff will promptly assist you.

Once you have logged in, simply follow the conference registration link from your member login page.

For Non-Members of ASCH
Non-members can register for the Conference here.
